Early Learning Experience

Preschool for All at Rogy’s

Funded through the Illinois State Board of Education

Rogy’s Learning Place provides child care services for infants through school-age children.  In 2003, we became partners in the Preschool for All initiative through the State of Illinois to provide enhanced educational opportunities to three and four years olds that will prepare them for future success in school.  More information about Preschool for All and the locations Rogy’s provides Preschool for All enhanced services are listed below.

What parents should know about Preschool for All:

Children who get a high quality preschool experience are more likely to succeed in school and in life.  Studies show they are more likely to graduate high school, earn more as adults, and are less likely to need special education. By fostering social, emotional and thinking skills, Preschool for All helps prepare children for kindergarten and their school career.  Preschool for All is a high quality Early Childhood education program for children 3 and 4 years old.

How do I know if my child is eligible?

All children are eligible, but it will take time to build up to meet expected demand. Initially, availability will vary based on local capacity and need and certain eligibility criteria.  Enrollment in the program consists of the submitting of a Screening Permission Form (developmental screening, Hearing and Vision), a Family Questionnaire and a Brigance Screening by the teacher. The information gathered from these informational resources help the Program Coordinator and Teacher understand “where your child is in his/her development” and “where he/she needs to go to reach his/her potential”.

How long does the program run?

Preschool for All programs operate on a school-year basis; however, this may vary from program to program depending on where preschool is offered.  At Rogy’s, we also provide full day, full year child-care for working parents.
